Jim Bayman a life-long Whitley County resident. Graduated from the Reppert Auction School in 1961 and the Superior Auction School in 1975. Has a GRI designation from Indiana University. A member of both the Indiana Auctioneers Association and the National Auction Association since 1962. Served as President of the Indiana Auctioneers Association in 1981, was the Champion Auctioneer in 1984, and was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2003. Active in many community organizations and was elected to nine terms on the Whitley County Council and served for 36 years. Auctioneer at the Whitley County 4-H Livestock Auction for 65 years, the Huntington County 4-H Livestock Auction for 54 years, and was auctioneer at the Indiana State Fair Spotlight Sale of Livestock Champions.
